“Healthy mind dwells in a healthy body” Inculcating healthy eating habits among the growing generation is the need of the hour. Class II observed 21.11.17, Tuesday as a Non Fire Cooking day. This day was conducted to create awareness about the nutritional value of food cooked without fire. Delicious food items were prepared according to the taste buds of students using raw vegetables and fruits. Children participated with full zeal and enthusiasm while mixing the ingredients. Food items like vegetable sandwich, corn salad and bhelpuri were made and distributed amongst the children. The children shared that they learned the recipes to prepare the food items and would love to make it for their parents. They also categorised the ingredients into different food groups like Protective, Energy giving, etc. They relished the prepared dishes.
