"Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self to the self." - Bhagavad Gita Yoga in daily life is a system of practice consisting of eight levels of development in the areas of physical, mental, self-realization, social and spiritual health. When the body is physically healthy, the mind is clear, focused and stress is under control. The ‘Yoga Month’ was celebrated at Chinmaya Vidyalaya in the month of November and December 2017. Students from classes Nursery to 2nd performed yoga reminding us of the importance of ‘yoga in our daily life’. Students performed different asanas under the guidance of Ms.Sonia Pawar, the physical education teacher. The children performed asana like yogic warming up exercises, Om chanting, breathing exercises (inhale and exhale), Yog Mudra (symbol of yog), bhujangasana, tadasana, hatapadasana, vajrasana, shavasana etc. These asanas were taught to bring about holistic approach to health and well-being among the students.
