The students of Grade 3 visited the National Rail Museum situated in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. The students were explained the history and development of the Indian railway system. The students were very enthusiastic and they enjoyed the Mini Rail ride which was the most awaited moment of the trip. The students took a round of the park and observed the different engines and carriages on display. They were amazed to see the different Saloon Carriages used by the Prince of Wales, Maharaja of Mysore and Maharaja of Indore. The students also visited the Mini museum which had interesting displays of the parts of trains. They closely observed the furniture and doors from carriages used in the olden times. Several miniature models of Crane Tank, Kalka Shimla Rail Bus, Matheran Rail Car No 8899, Fireless Steam Locomotive, Steam Locomotive A-885 Hasang and Steam Locomotive X-37385 etc. fascinated the students. It was indeed a joyful learning experience for the students.
