PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM SEXUAL OFFENCES (POCSO) COMMITTEE
The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, is a comprehensive law in India formulated to protect children from offenses of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and pornography. To ensure the effective implementation of this act at Chinmaya Vidyalaya New Delhi, a POCSO Committee has been constituted. The committee plays a crucial role in safeguarding learners from the challenges they faced during their formative years. It creates a structured framework for prevention, awareness, reporting, and redressal, and not only upholds the legal mandates of the POCSO Act but also fosters a secure and supportive environment for students to thrive.
GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL COMMITTEE
The Grievance Redressal Committee is a vital mechanism constituted to address and resolve complaints and grievances raised by students, parents, and staff. It aims to foster a harmonious and productive educational environment by ensuring that issues are addressed fairly, transparently, and efficiently. The committee helps to build trust, enhance transparency, and foster a sense of security among students, parents, and staff. The objective is to develop a responsible and accountable attitude among all the stakeholders of the institution in order to maintain a harmonious and conducive environment at the school.
SCHOOL SAFETY COMMITTEE
The primary purpose of the School Safety Committee is to create, implement, and monitor policies and procedures that promote a safe and secure environment within the school premises. The committee has been established to ensure that all safety standards are maintained. The committee also undertakes monthly safety walks of the premises in compliance with the DOE's directives.
INTERNAL COMPLAINTS COMMITTEE
An Internal Complaint Committee has been established to address issues of sexual harassment and ensure a safe, respectful, and harassment-free environment for all the school's employees. The primary purpose of the committee is to provide a structured and supportive mechanism for handling complaints related to sexual harassment and to promote gender equality and dignity within the institution.
DISCIPLINE COMMITTEE
The Discipline Committee plays a crucial role in maintaining a positive and conducive learning environment by ensuring that students adhere to the school's rules and regulations. The committee is responsible for maintaining proper discipline within the campus, addressing disciplinary issues, and initiating necessary action as per norms against any kind of misconduct.
The School Managing Committee, in exercise of powers under section 4 of the 'Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013', read with Director of Education circular No F. DE.15/Act-I/Vishakha Guidelines/2014/25342-47 dated 28-07-2014, is pleased to constitute the 'Internal Complaints Committee' as under:
