Grandparents' Day Celebration
“Grandparents are a family's greatest treasure and the footsteps to the future generations.”
To honour and thank the beloved grandparents for their unconditional love, the learners of classes I-II and Pre- Primary Department of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, New Delhi celebrated Grandparents' Day – Grand Masti with Grandparents.
Our learners of classes I and II welcomed the grandparents with the auspicious tilak ceremony. This was followed by a myriad of joyful activities, music, dance and creative craft. Our munchkins were fascinated by the riveting stories told by the greatest storytellers, the grandparents. They lent a helping hand to their Nanis and Dadis while preparing finger-licking and healthy recipes as part of the non-fire cooking activity.... Read more
World Literacy Day
"Literacy is not just about educating, it is a unique and powerful tool to eradicate poverty and a strong means for social and human progress."
The World Literacy Day was celebrated by the Pre- Primary department of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, New Delhi, on 6th September 2023. It aimed at helping little learners to raise awareness about the value and importance of literacy. They were shown an educational moral story *“Education Counts”*which is an effective way to convey the message about the importance of literacy in an engaging and relatable manner for young minds and the inclusion of a fun filled hopscotch game in the celebration added an element of enjoyment and interaction for the children. Krishna Janmashtami Celebrations
The learners of the Primary Department of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, New Delhi celebrated Janmashtami with great fervour and gaiety on 6th September 2023.
The learners were apprised about the life and teachings of Krishna.The students also learnt that the joyous festival symbolises the encouragement of goodwill in order to establish Dharma.
The little munchkins of classes I-II made peacock feather paper-headgears and decorated cutouts of matkis (pots) with sequins, mirrors and colourful stones. CLASS VII PRESENTATION-ANUGOONJ...THE ECHO OF NEW INDIA
A thought provoking presentation was staged on 2nd September 2023 in Chinmaya Vidyalaya, New Delhi, by the students of class VII. The event beautifully depicted our motherland's history, from its golden era to foreign invasions, colonial rule, and the inspiring journey to modern digital India through poetry, skits, songs, mimes, and dance. It rekindled love for the country, highlighting India's global contributions from concept of zero to Chandrayaan. Principal Ms. Archana Soni praised it's insight into contemporary issues and stressed parental role modeling in teaching children their responsibilities. The event instilled strong national pride and optimism for our progressive future.

The students of class VI showcased a remarkable presentation to highlight the incredible power and determination of Jadhav Payeng, a popular Padma Shri Awardee, who transformed a barren land into a thriving Malai Forest. Through an informative skit and a mesmerising dance performance, they portrayed Jadhav Payeng's journey from sorrow and depression to becoming a forest crusader. An incredible moment of learning and inspiration unfolded on 1st September 2023 on the grounds of Chinmaya Vidyalaya when the students of class V presented the glorious achievements of India by means of a stage presentation.A scintillating dance drama highlighted the important scientific inventions that India has contributed to the world.The performances kindled love and patriotism for the country when it reminisced about the great inventions of some Indian personalities because of which space travel and the study of mathematics and surgery is possible today.
