Guru Purnima Celebrations
Chinmaya Vidyalaya, New Delhi, observed the sacred occasion of Guru Purnima with deep reverence, celebrating the timeless bond between the Guru and the disciple. The event served as a reminder of the Guru’s role as a beacon of knowledge, compassion and inner strength.
The ceremony began with a traditional Paduka Pooja, gracefully led by the Principal, Ms Archana Soni, and the Primary Head, Ms Archana Gaur. This symbolic act of worship offered gratitude to the Guru as the guiding presence in one's life, both spiritual and personal.
Members of the Student Council took part in the pooja with sincerity and devotion. With flowers in hand and prayers in their hearts, they paid homage to the Guru, embodying the values of respect and humility.
During the programme, the significance of Guru Purnima was shared with the student body. The message underscored the importance of learning from and honouring one’s Guru, not only in academics but in all aspects of life. Students were encouraged to reflect on the role of teachers and mentors who shape their thinking and guide their growth.
The celebration served as more than a ritual. It was a meaningful experience that instilled key values such as faith, humility and devotion. Through this observance, students developed a deeper sense of gratitude and respect for those who guide them, helping to shape both character and understanding.
Guru Purnima at Chinmaya Vidyalaya was a heartfelt tribute to the spirit of learning and mentorship, reminding all present that true growth begins with reverence for the one who shows the path.
