Every Drop Counts
On 12 August 2025, the students of Class V D at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, New Delhi, presented an engaging and thought-provoking assembly on SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation. The theme, Every Drop Counts, highlighted the urgent need for water conservation and the role each individual can play in protecting this vital resource.
The assembly opened with a creative podcast-style act in which the beloved character Dory interviewed “Ms Muddy Tide,” a polluted river. This imaginative exchange offered a unique perspective on water pollution while keeping the audience engaged.
This was followed by a lively group of five “Jumping Jacks” who shared practical and clever water-saving tips. Their spirited presentation inspired everyone to adopt simple habits for conserving water in everyday life.
The highlight of the programme was a vibrant dance performance set to the popular Paani Anthem. The energy and enthusiasm of the performers added excitement to the morning while reinforcing the central message of conservation.
The assembly was warmly received by students and teachers. With its blend of creativity, humour and meaningful insights, it succeeded in driving home a vital lesson. Through their efforts, the learners of Class V D reminded the school community that small actions, when practised consistently, can make a big difference. Truly, every drop counts.
